I have been busy over the last day or so making some changes that I’ve been thinking about for a while. This is a quick post to share these three changes.
- Group Games now has its own site.
- The Group Games Network is now on Facebook
- I now have a landing page.
- I’ve upgraded my blog to Standard Theme 3.
1. Group Games
I’ve been wanting to create a separate site for Group Games for a while. This will mean that all of my projects have their own homes on the web. You can check out the site below or at groupgamesapp.net.
2. Group Games Network on Facebook
The Group Games Network is the place where all my group game related sites join together, including the youth group games on this site, IceBreakers.ME and the Group Games App. In the past there was just a newsletter. But now there is also a Facebook page. I think it’ll be pretty popular, or at least more popular than the Newsletter (which will continue). You can like the Group Games Network at facebook.com/GroupGamesNetwork.
3. Landing Page
A landing page is a home online. A place where all my projects are gathered together and linked to.
My old site used to have a landing page as the home page but it was static and loaded slowly at times. So I’ve decided to separate it out to its own site. This also means that calumhenderson.com is solely a blog now. No other stuff lives here. Check out the screenshot below then visit the page at calh.me.
4. Standard Theme 3
Standard Theme 3 displays custom post types really well (see James Bonds) and is responsive (which means it looks great on any device). I’ve been wanting to upgrade for a while but have been held back by fixed width elements on my site such as the old home page and the Group Games landing page. Now that both of these pages have moved to their own pages. I upgraded the site to take advantage of the newness of Standard Theme 3.
This was just a quick update to let you know about the changes I’ve made. I’m pretty happy to have them finished.
As for this site, you can expect more short posts as well as longer ‘old school’ posts.
Hope you like the changes!
