What’s a Posterous?

Posterous is an upcoming blogging platform.

“What might be the simplest blogging platform to date… I’m seriously liking posterous.com.”

Michael Arrington, TechCrunch

To create a blog at Posterous, all you need to do is email post[at]posterous[dot]com with a first post. And that’s it. You have your site.

I’ve been using Posterous since November, and here is how I use it (my posterous).

  • I send emails to Posterous with a photo  from my iPhone, and Posterous automatically sends those pictures to Twitter (via a tweet with short URL) and to Facebook (uploading the picture to an album).
  • I send emails to Posterous with a video link (usually form vimeo or youtube), and Posterous sends the video to Twitter (via a tweet with short URL) and to Facebook (where the video is embedded in my feed.

It is so incredibly easy to share photos and videos with those who I am connected with online.

If you want to share videos or photos online via Twitter or Facebook, then sign up for a Posterous account. It’ll serve you well.

If you would like to learn more about Posterous visit their FAQ page, it’s got the goods.
