Here’s a video I recently made for the Christian group at Sydney Uni (SUEU), for the Social Work and Education faculty (SWED)
I used my new camera for this video and I think it looks great (if I do say so myself)! Much better than my old one.
We are doing a whole bunch of events on campus over the coming few weeks, and we would love for you to pray for us as we reach out to Sydney Uni!
This Wednesday, 24/2/2010. I’m going to co-host a 1 hour radio program entitled “EU: A Snapshot of Uni Life”.
The show will be on at 4pm, broadcast from SURG at Sydney Uni.
The show is part of the Sydney Uni Evangelical Union’s (SUEU) O-Week program and will be highlighting some of the activities that the SUEU runs.
I’m looking forward to it. I’m sure it’ll be a ton of fun, and I’ll be hosting with the one and only Mike Roberts. Fun times are sure to follow, and it’ll be broadcast around the campus as part of o-week fun times
So if you are around Sydney Uni on Wednesday between 4pm and 5pm, tune in to SURG 90.9 FM and listen to “EU: A Snapshot of Uni Life”.
I just experienced my first conference where a Twitter hashtag was used.
Hashtags are used on Twitter to group content together and make it easily searchable. This allows a group of people to use a hashtag to identify content together, and publicly share.

The hashtag used for the conference I was on was #runway2010. Follow the link to see all the tweets from the conference.
There were about 9 people using the hashtag, but I can see this taking off on future conferences, possibly with the integration of the hashtag in the conference via a tool such as TwitterCamp.
It’s great to have this ability as people can share what they have been learning from the talks, or share pictures that they have taken. And anybody can find and view and communicate with each other. I look forward to #ancon2010!

Ancon is coming up soon!
Ancon is the sueu’s (Sydney Uni Evangelical Union) annual conferance. An awesome week of biblical teaching! I went last year and it was truly amazing. Last years topic was Justification, and this year will be on the Spirit.
Ancon is at the moment, being touted on Facebook by just about every member of the EU, and I think that anyone with any connection with friends in the EU, would find it hard to avoid hearing about Ancon.
There are a few strategies being used
Sounds pretty simple, and I think it will achieve it’s goal of awareness about Ancon being raised.
