Churches using Twitter

Twitter and churchShould churches have active Twitter accounts?

Over at communicatejesus.com, Steve Kryger and I have been chatting about which churches use Twitter.

This was started by his blog post, 15 WAYS FOR CHURCHES TO USE TWITTER. It’s a great list inspired by 17 ways to use Twitter – a Guide for Beginners, Marketers and Business owners, and has some great ideas for personal Twitter accounts as well. You should go check it out now.

So how many churches use Twitter? Here is a short list of the ones I am following

Do you know of any other churches that use Twitter?

Our church’s young adults group has a Twitter account. Not many of our group have Twitter yet. But we wanted to not be playing catch up.

@Haysey – Thanks for the suggestions mate

@Dave – Certainly like the lakes Twitter integration on their website, very few churches are doing Twitter integration at all.

@Tim – Could be a good reason for your church to get Twitter, being 1 step ahead is always a good thing.

    Thanks to all for suggestions!
