Its still no more than a large iphone with less functionality. And you even get to pay for adds now. And no, there is no multitasking, apple clearly doesnt know what that is
Hey mate,
Thanks for dropping by.
Just to let you know, multitasking is coming on the iPad around September and on the iPhone around July.
What do you mean by pay for ads?
Dont get fooled by the Apple PR machine. The announcement about “Multitasking” was to sugar coat that they are releasing ads (see http://www.news.com.au/technology/multitasking-release-gives-iad-developers-grip-on-iphone-ipad-users/story-e6frfro0-1225851788118). So effectively, buying and iPad, is paying Apple to send you ads
And there is no real Multitasking. Multitasking is simultaneously performing multiple tasks. The Apple form of multitasking is pausing one thing, and then allowing you to run another – still monotasking. The only form of multitasking an iPhone/iTampon has is music + something else.
Not to mention, they are only releasing this “Multitasking” (aka we can now give you ads, and not multitasking, but still claim it cause people believe us cause we are Apple) for people with a 3GS or newer phone.
Plus it doesnt run flash, which is a perfectly fine technology, Apple just has a stoushe with Adobe and refuses to implement it.
Apple is really showing itself as a money grubbing company of late
Your argument makes a lot of sense my friend, we should have a chat about it sometime.
But surely ads will only go in free apps, I would be pretty annoyed if I paid for an app and it had ads in it.
But again, what you said does make a lot of sense.
