iPhones serving God: 5 Free applications

My iPhone and its home screen

My iPhone and its home screen

About a month ago, Steve Kryger wrote an article on Sydney Anglicans about iPhone applications. I’d recommend reading it for some good ideas, I thought I’d share some free applications that help me serve God on my own iPhone.

Bible

This application is great, Steve Kryger mentioned it and I will too. Has helped me many a times when I have forgotten a bible. I also started doing morning quiet times on it for convenience sake. Has the NIV, but you must have access to data to use it.

Twitterific

A great Twitter client for the iPhone, my favourite after the recent upgrade. Greatest new feature is the ability to manage multiple accounts. Great for those of use who have a personal twitter account, as well as managing ones for various ministries, such as churches or Christian groups at uni. Also great to pray for friends if you find yourself with a spare minute.

Scribble Lite

Ever wanted to draw something but don’t have paper around? This application allows you to draw on your iPhone with your finger. Great for demonstrating quick graphs.

WordPress

Why not update your blog from the latest conference that you are on, complete with pictures from your iPhone. That’s the beauty of technology today.

Cube Runner

Cause everyone needs time off. This little 80s game lets you navigate a ship through cubes. Oh so addictive.

So there you have 5 free iPhone applications. Hope you enjoy using them to serve God!

    Thanks for the advice Dave,

I originally did try to link them to the itunes store using itunes link maker. But for some reason none of the links worked when I originally published them. Do you have any itunes linking advice?

    Cheers

you could do a general link to here:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/whatson/appstore.html

and then just simply link to the mother sight for each app (wordpress etc…)?

    i dunno. just an idea

Thanks for the help mate, I got the links working. Was trying to paste the html into text, when it wanted to create a button.
